A reflection on some Buddhist texts I've been reading on.
A quote from Shakespear's Merchant of Venice. If you prick us, do we not bleed? if you tickle us, do we not laugh? To be prejudiced, it makes the world mad. Remember we all feel hurt, we all feel pain, even if you do not think so.
Fish give off a certain scent in the air when they swim, that scent ignites this living passion in humans (chemical reaction), preventing us from feeling that living is futile, and ending it in suicide. Life is so trivial as a throw of a dice, and nothing more. You are a jackpot, but that's about it.
I describe a dream I had, one where I died. It is just wonderful to wake up from death, just like in a fairy tale.
History has to be revised to be useful, as changing times often mean that old ways of doing things become outdated, and are no longer as effective or effiecient in solving modern problems.
Life has lots of ups and downs...what are the downs for? I want to be happy ALL the time, but will that lead me to, instead, to unhappiness?
