In a little over 12 hours I’ll be about halfway through my 42.2km run in the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, after which it’d be another two hours of ignoring pain and the mental reciting of Kipling’s If.

To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on”
