The wife tells me she doesn't find my latest posts interesting. Well, I say to her, of course not. They're not meant for you. Which is a little of a lie, because for the most part I do want her to read what I write. I've got no stronger supporter; to lose this one would mean a hit of... Continue Reading →
Going back to Perth!
The wife and I are going back to Perth next March! Our son favourite ex-housemate is graduating! He’s now officially a doctor (we’re so proud!) Though the last time we were there was more than three years ago, way back in 2009, knowing Perth’s reputation it’d be just about exactly as we had left it.
2012 Resolutions. And 2013’s.
It’s coming to the end of the year. Lots of major dates! Soon, it’d be the hand-holding anniversary of the wife and I (28th Nov); then it’ll be my birthday in early December (along with a load of my best bud’s birthdays: two on the 2nd of December, one on the 13th, and then a... Continue Reading →
Type Racer
Of late, I've become an increasingly greater fan of this game called "Type Racer". In case you're not sure what it is, it's an online game where you compete against other people to see who can type faster (in real-time, which is really cool). I used to play these sorts of typing test games all... Continue Reading →
Living in the Future
I tend to live in the future more than I live in the present or the past. I’m constantly thinking about what comes next, and how events will come to transpire. This tendency of mine is both blessing and curse. It is a blessing because I’m constantly planning ahead: nasty surprises are few and far... Continue Reading →
Trip to Montreal
This is my second final night here in Montreal. What an experience this has been. There've been times, countless times, when talking to someone here, I'd get all self-conscious on myself and think about how weird it was that I was here. I'd suddenly lose track of the conversation, think about how I'd think about... Continue Reading →
What’s Next?
“What’s next?” That’s a question I find myself asking increasingly frequently these days. A question that is more often than not left to evaporate into the void without a hint of an answer lurking anywhere. Haven't felt this aimless since... Never. That's right: I've never felt this aimless. I used to have these feelings of... Continue Reading →
Why I am not an entrepreneur
The thing about entrepreneurship is that you probably want to live in the world of the people who you want to buy your products or services. How else would you be able to determine what your customers want or need? Or might want or need? And I think that’s where I fall short. I live... Continue Reading →
Nostalgia
I was hit by nostalgia today. And as I thought back about my past, I realised how different my life would be today if I'd made a decision or two just a tad differently from what I'd actually made. I'm not saying that life would've been better. All I know for certain is that it'd... Continue Reading →
What is edonn.com really about?
Sometimes I wonder what edonn.com’s really all about. On the one hand I’m always longing for greater readership, hoping that perhaps one day there’ll be so many people coming to this website that I’ll be famous and, banking on that fame become really wealthy. On the other hand, edonn.com’s such a personal space that if... Continue Reading →
