NaNoWriMo stands for the “National Novel Writing Month.” I first encountered it through a link from Rachel’s blog; finding it interesting enough, I decided to join. Within a month, you’re supposed to write a novel of at least 50,000 words. That’s almost 2,000 words per day.
I’m not normally a fiction writer, but I’ve written short fiction before — well, snippets — and if you put lots of short fiction together, what’ll you get? Yes, a long piece of fiction! The problem I’m facing at this moment is that I haven’t got a clue about what to write about. But like all experienced English exam takers, I know that the plot will come to me eventually, especially with time running out. Pressure works wonders.
So this wordpress.com site will be the one that will host all my writings. All writings related to the novel will be published under the “Nanowrimo” category. Everything else will be published under “News.”
